Beef chuck, cut into cubes

Onions, chopped

Garlic, minced

Beef broth

Tomato sauce

Carrots, sliced

Potatoes, diced

Olive oil
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pot, add the onions and garlic. Sauté until softened.
4. Return the beef to the pot. Add the beef broth, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin. Stir well.
5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours.
6. Add the carrots and potatoes. Cook for another 30 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
7. Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.
Notes:
For a thicker stew, you can mash some of the potatoes and carrots.
