Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 can beef broth (14.5 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked spaghetti, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped onions for serving

Instructions: 

  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the ground beef.
  • Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the chili powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, allspice, and cayenne pepper.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid and set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Once done, quick release the pressure and serve the chili over cooked spaghetti, topped with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped onions.

Notes:

For an authentic Cincinnati experience, serve the chili over spaghetti and top with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped onions. You can also add kidney beans or oyster crackers if desired.
