Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds round steak cut into serving-size pieces
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
  • Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the steak pieces on both sides.
  • Add in the onion, bell pepper, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid, set to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing the remaining pressure.
  • Serve the Swiss steak with the vegetables and sauce over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes:

This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh garden salad.
