Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions: 

  • Turn on the Instant Pot and select the sauté function. Heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  • Add mutton pieces, yogurt, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid, set the valve to sealing, and pressure cook on high for 25 minutes.
  • Once done, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Open the lid carefully.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can marinate the mutton with yogurt and spices for a few hours before cooking.
