Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (about 4-5 pounds)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions: 

  • Rub the chicken with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Pour chicken broth into the Instant Pot.
  • Place the trivet in the Instant Pot and put the seasoned chicken on top.
  • Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes per pound of chicken.
  • Natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  • Check the internal temperature of the chicken to ensure it has reached 165°F.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before carving and serving.
