Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 5 lbs apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp cloves
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cup water

Instructions: 

  • Place all ingredients in the pressure cooker.
  • Close the lid and set the pressure cooker to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Once done, allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release.
  • Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until smooth.
  • Cook on sauté mode, stirring frequently, until the apple butter thickens.
  • Let it cool before transferring to jars and refrigerating.

Notes:

For a smoother texture, you can strain the apple butter through a fine mesh sieve after blending.
