Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Fresh chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions: 

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In the Instant Pot, combine the rice, broth, olive oil, turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
  • Allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes:

Garnishing with fresh cilantro is optional but adds a nice touch of flavor and color.
