basmati rice

ghee or oil

cumin seeds (jeera)
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Rinse the basmati rice under running water until the water runs clear.
Press the "Saute" button on the Instant Pot and heat ghee or oil.
Add cumin seeds and sauté for 30 seconds until they sizzle.
Add the rinsed rice and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Pour water and add salt. Stir well.
Close the Instant Pot with the lid and set the valve to sealing position.
Pressure cook on high for 5 minutes.
Once done, allow natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then do a quick pressure release.
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
Notes:
This recipe is perfect for a quick and easy side dish. Adjust the salt to your taste.
