Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar for caramel
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
  • 1 can evaporated milk 12 oz
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions: 

  • Caramelize the sugar in a saucepan until golden brown, then pour into the bottom of the flan mold.
  • In a blender, combine eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the caramel in the flan mold.
  • Cover the mold with aluminum foil.
  • Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot, place the trivet inside, and put the flan mold on top.
  • Close the Instant Pot, set to high pressure for 25 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Carefully remove the flan mold, let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan, place a plate on top, and flip to release the flan with the caramel on top.

Notes:

For best results, ensure the caramel is evenly spread at the bottom of the mold before adding the flan mixture.
