Ingredients:  

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 can beer
  • 4 large potatoes
  • Olive oil for rubbing potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Your favorite seasoning blend for chicken

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Wash and dry the whole chicken. Season the chicken inside and out with salt, pepper, and your favorite seasoning blend.
  • Open the can of beer and take a few sips (or pour out a bit) to make room for the chicken.
  • Carefully slide the chicken onto the beer can, so it stands upright with the can inside the cavity.
  • Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  • Place the chicken on the Insta-Rack on the grill, along with the potatoes.
  • Close the lid and cook for about 1 hour or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the potatoes are tender.
  • Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before carving.
