Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds round steak
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions: 

  • Cut the round steak into serving-size pieces.
  • In a shallow dish, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Dredge the steak pieces in the flour mixture.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in the pressure cooker on sauté mode. Brown the steak pieces on both sides.
  • Add the onion and bell pepper slices to the pressure cooker.
  • Pour in the diced tomatoes and beef broth.
  • Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  • Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before doing a quick release.
  • Serve the Swiss steak with the vegetables and sauce over mashed potatoes or rice.
