Ingredients:  

Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the sugar and butter together.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  • Place the cake pan on the trivet in the Instant Pot with 1 cup of water in the pot.
  • Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Allow natural pressure release before removing the cake from the Instant Pot.
