Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, pecans, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Spread the batter in an even layer in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  • In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar with hot water until dissolved.
  • Carefully pour the sugar-water mixture over the batter in the Instant Pot.
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 35 minutes.
  • Once done, do a quick pressure release and carefully remove the cake from the Instant Pot.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes:

For best results, make sure to evenly spread the batter in the Instant Pot and carefully pour the sugar-water mixture to avoid disturbing the batter.
