Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions: 

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  • Mash the avocados with a fork until slightly chunky.
  • Add lime juice and salt, mix well.
  • Stir in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic.
  • Add cayenne pepper if desired and mix well.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos.

Notes:

For best results, use ripe avocados. You can also add other ingredients like jalapeños for extra spice or sour cream for a creamier texture.
