Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon chopped
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 0.5 cup whiskey
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • In a pressure cooker, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.
  • Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  • Pour in whiskey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, salt, and pepper.
  • Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high pressure for 20 minutes.
  • Release pressure naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release.
  • Stir the chutney and simmer on sauté mode until thickened.
  • Serve warm or store in airtight containers in the refrigerator.

Notes:

This chutney pairs well with grilled meats, cheese platters, or as a topping for burgers and sandwiches.
