Ingredients:  

Crust Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 0.25 cup cold water
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • Your choice of tart filling (e.g., fruit, custard, chocolate)

Instructions: 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Slowly add the cold water and mix until the dough comes together.
  • Shape the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and press it into a tart pan.
  • Add your desired tart filling.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Let it cool before serving.
